The Pueblo West Parks and Recreation Department partners with
the local district schools each year to collect canned and dry foods
to make Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for Pueblo West
Family names are given to the Parks office by the schools. If you are
in need of a basket, you will need to contact the school counselor where
your child attends and talk with them to get on our list. Only families in
Pueblo West are eligible to receive a food basket.
The Parks office will not be accepting canned or dry foods again this year.
Instead if you would like to make a donation, we would welcome turkeys
for Thanksgiving, and a ham donation for Christmas instead.
Deliveries for 2021
Families will be contacted by the counselors and the basket distributions
will be at the Pueblo West Parks office. Thanksgiving distribution is Saturday, November 20. Christmas distribution is Saturday, December 18.
The families can pick up during the hours of 8:00-10:00am.
