    Pueblo West Metropolitan District is the fastest growing community in southern Colorado with more than 30,000 residents calling it home and more moving here every day. The breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, sunny and blue-sky climate, and close proximity to awesome recreation opportunities make Pueblo West an idea place to work, live and thrive. As a metropolitan district, Pueblo West residents enjoy one of the lowest sales tax rates in the region

    Pueblo West Metropolitan District Economic Development Division provides business development services and is a liaison between businesses and other regional government entities to facilitate a more streamlined process to recruit, retain, and expand businesses within our community.

    The District has dozens of available real estate lots available in prime locations near Interstate 25, Highway 50, and with access to a heavy rail spur. The district is working to recruit both primary and secondary employers both actively and in coordination with regional partners.

    The District knows that developing a strong workforce is important to long-term economic growth and is committed to collaborating with Pueblo Community College, Colorado State University-Pueblo, and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to maintain a competitive workforce for a variety of industries. 

    Pueblo West understands the process for new development can be confusing so it has established a Development Collaboration Center (DCC). The DCC is your "one-stop" resource for land use and development in Pueblo West. If you are a builder, homeowner, design professional, or contractor, you can find key documents and links in the DCC to help you speed up the process of building, designing, and remodeling within our community.
