The ADA prohibits any discrimination based on someone’s disability. As a local government employer, the District adheres to all laws associated with the ADA.
The District will make reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with known disabilities unless doing so would result in an undue hardship to the District or cause a direct threat to health or safety. The District will make reasonable accommodation for employees whose work requirements interfere with a religious belief, unless doing so poses undue hardship on the District. The District may require than an employee provide a note from a health care provider detailing the medical advisability of the reasonable accommodation.
