1. How can I obtain a burn permit?

Burn permits are free of charge and can be obtained at your closest fire station.  

2. How do I know if there are any fire restrictions?

Visit the Pueblo West Metropolitan district website or the Pueblo County sheriff Office website and look in the "Alert Center" for current fire restrictions.  

3. Can a firefighter install my child's car seat?

Unfortunately no. Firefighters do not have the certification required to install car seats. Please contact the Colorado State Patrol.  

4. I have a used or expired fire extinguisher, how do I replace it or dispose of it?

Please contact your local fire safety equipment company.  

5. What if I need assistance from firefighters but do not feel it is an emergency?

If you only have a question and do not need someone to respond to you in person, please call our administrative number. If you need immediate assistance always call 911. Firefighters do a variety of things every shift and are not always in the fire station to take your call. There are many times no one can answer your phone call.
