Pueblo West Fleet Service Department
Missions Statement
The overall goal of fleet management is to provide reliable and safe equipment, with maximum availability, at a minimal cost. With the exception of projects that are cost prohibitive or labor intensive, all equipment maintenance and repairs are completed in house. The primary focus of fleet management is preventive maintenance and inspection in an attempt to prevent major repairs.
The Pueblo West Metropolitan District strives to establish efficient and effective fleet services by providing safe, reliable and economical equipment and related support services; in addition to conserving vehicle value and equipment life.
Department Goals
• To maintain equipment for all departments with minimal labor hours lost to equipment down time.
• To repair equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• To maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• To provide regular reports to staff and management.
• To comply with all laws and regulations which govern this Department.
• To anticipate and prepare for the changing needs of the District as related to the Fleet Services Department.
