Youth Yolleyball Spring 2010

The Pueblo West Parks and Recreation offers volleyball for youths during the Fall & Spring seasons.

The leagues are recreational and are not competitive in nature.


PROGRAM DATES

January 12 to February 12, 2010


Youth Volleyball is a co-ed recreational program for all children ages 8-11yrs. They will learn developmental skills, sportsmanship conduct, team participation and will have lots of fun.

    PRACTICES: Practices are the first 20 minutes before each weekly game.

    GAMES: Tuesday & Friday evenings – 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00pm at Sierra Vista Elementary School

    COST: $25.00 per child. There is a $25 fee on any returned check and there are NO REFUNDS AFTER PROGRAM START DATE.

    COACHES MEET: January 5 from 6-8pm at the Parks and Rec office.

    REGISTRATION: THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, mail or drop forms in mail slot at the Parks Office before December 31.

*Deadlines are established to meet team selection and scheduling for game times and coach meetings. Late registrations are subject to late fees if availability on teams permit for the program.For more information, please contact the Parks and Recreation office at (719) 547-7400.


YOUTH VOLLEYBALL RECREATION RULES

SPORTSMANSHIP
The Pueblo West Parks and Recreation Dept. supports a high level of sportsmanship by team members, parents, and all participants. Anyone who doesn't comply with the rules will be asked not to participate.

PROGRAM PURPOSE
This program is designed to provide youth with the opportunity to participate in an organized Sports program that will emphasize basic skills, sportsmanship, enjoyment, and cooperative Participation with peers. NO SCORES ARE TO BE KEPT.

CONDUCT
It shall be the responsibility of all spectators, parents, and participants to conduct themselves in a proper and sportsmanlike manner. Any individual who, in the opinion of the coach, is conducting him/herself in an improper manner shall receive a warning to stop such conduct. Should the individual not comply, the Parks and Rec. Director will be notified and the situation will be taken care of.

LIABILITY
Parents should be aware that there is some risk involved in activities of this nature, and that ALL participants do so at their own risk.

PRACTICES/GAMES
Practices are the first 20 minutes before each weekly game.

TRANSPORTATION
All participants are responsible for their own transportation. Make sure your child is picked up on time.
